The incredible adventures of one of the smartest and amazing detectives known to readers around the world is back! Yes, the movie-production team – along with Robert Downey, Jr., Jude Law and Guy Ritchie a massive movie-history – have done it again. The characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson will, once again, surprise the world with their wit on the big-screen. So be ready to the coming of the 2^nd movie based on the book by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

In this movie, even though Sherlock Holmes (played by Robert Downey, Jr.) has always been the brainiest man in the room, the movie-screen now brings Holmes’ archenemy and nemesis, Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris) – who’s not only as clever as Holmes, but has no problems with evil-doing. Combined with a complete lack of conscience, this nemesis may actually have the edge over our hero.

We’re sure you’re all dying to know more about the upcoming movie but we can’t give away any spoilers. Stay tuned for the full trailer, and don’t forget, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows hits cinemas this coming December 16.

•         Detective Conan

  The name of the author, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has inspired an entire Japanese cartoon series entitled, “Detective Conan” that swept across the world – this animation has quite a number of references to the original stories of Sherlock Holmes.

• The word “Sherlock” means golden-haired; but ALL of the main characters are always dark-haired

• In the books, Professor Moriarty is often described by Sherlock Holmes as the “Napoleon of Crime”

• There is actually a “Sherlock Holmes” Museum on Baker Street in London which is open to the public everyday

• All of the books about Sherlock Holmes (except for four) are narrated by Holmes’ good friend Dr. John Watson.

• Elementary my dear Watson” is a very popular phrase used by fans BUT it has NEVER actually been mentioned in any of the books by Doyle
